  •   I went to Oriental Village based on the reviews it has on Trip Advisor. I found the accommodation to be old and worn out, in dire need of updating. The breakfast was adequate, but the lunch, dinner menu somewhat limited and expensive, unless you have a vehicle, you have no other choice but to dine in there restaurant. For the first three days I was there I did not use the swimming pool, as I thought it did not look clean enough. After which the pool sides were scrubbed clean and the water looked good enough to swim in.
I paid Bht 15000 for seven nights, which I only realised after I arrived was definitely not value for money, especially being the low season. More

  •   Quite simply my other half chose the title for the review and she wasn't wrong .
Picked up in our city hotel by Paolo none stop chat all way to resort nice guy with loads of knowledge.
Superior chalet was great and the views from our window were fab , paddy fields mountains , the gardens, quite simply stunning and peaceful.
Food here was probably the best we have had in any naturist resort and a good choice well prepared by very good staff who knew what they were doing , a great bunch.
The resort is very well laid out , very spacious and prices that are reasonable.
We enjoyed some great walks around the area as we didn't hire a scooter , next time I think we would probably hire a car .

The local people in the area will constantly smile wave or say hello , it's not a touristic area so they are genuinely interested in you.
Some great coffee shops , one tip is to buy some coffee beans to take home , the coffee in Chiang mai is brilliant.

A very big thanks to Theo , U , and the rest of the staff for making our stay nothing short of perfection .

We enjoyed some great chats with other guests and our inpromtu pool parties introduced all of us to the delights of Thai rum .

This place brought together a Geordie couple, a Norwegian army vet and Canadian with a part time vegetarian fetish and far too much interest in electric vehicles for my liking But Orient brought us all together and we solved the worlds problems whilst increasing local rum production what more can i say .

We will return , well if they let us !

  •   Paolo at the Oriental Village has created a most beautiful, low-key naturist space, perfect for a deeply relaxing experience. Set amidst gorgeous grounds in a landscape of jungle and rice-paddies and with only the beautiful sounds of birds breaking the silence, this is close to nature! The gracious, smiling staff led by Aew are wonderful and the property is spotlessly clean.
All the best with this wonderful place Paolo - and your future plans in Phuket!

  •   I've visited this place during Songkran festival. It feels natural, and comfortable. But the place was quite hard to find and weather is hot.

Why this app needs more character? I have noting more to say.

  •   Thailand is a wonderful place and this is my third visit after Koh Samui/Koh Phangan/Bangkok/Pattaya. Oriental Village is a fantastic place to spend a week or so.. Paolo is the owner, he stays in the resort and interact directly with all guests, infact he arranged a dinner get together of all guests during our stay which is a nice gesture. His staff Yu, Lis and others are also so good.. Tourist attractions like San Kempeng hot spring and Mae Kampeng waterfall are nearby , I actually used the scooter from the hotel to go there..

Well recommended if you want to relax in a natural setting with lot of greenery around, get a good tan and massage.. More

  •   What a lovely place to go to!

I have just been to the Oriental Village and it's divine.

It is a clothing optional resort and nobody cares if you are clothed or not.

It's a large kind or a triangular block, surrounded by trees, palm and
banana trees on two sides and fully open across the main boundary taking in
a full panorama of rice fields, farms and the mountains. Very picturesque!

This is the view from the rooms, the pool and the many Thai relaxing huts
    scattered around.

It's coming to the mid-winter period there now but the temperature is
pleasant. It gets to 22c overnight and up to 28c in the day so ideal
sleeping conditions and daytime is great in that it's not too hot but warm
enough to walk around nude or semi clothed. The pool is heated as necessary
so it's around 26 or 27 just right for this time of the year.

The rooms have a nice bed and comfy mattress, TV, coffee and tea facilities
and toilet. There is also a lovely inside or outside hot or cold shower.

The grounds are well maintained and extensive and give a pleasant experience
to take in, especially with the open view to the mountains and sky!
    Sometimes misty.

The "in house" Mountain View Restaurant serves breakfast (included in the
room price) lunch and dinner. The prices are low and the menu quite
extensive with both Thai and European food, cooked to your desire. If you
don't like too much chilli you just tell them and it's made mild.

I found the food delicious and the servings generous.

Dishes start at around B100 and there is also wine and spirits available at
    a reasonable price.

Whilst there are other local fooderies around, within walking or pedalling
distance, I found there was no need to go out, even at night it was pleasant
sitting around sipping a few wines, listening to the music and watching the
night sky. If you need to there are pedal or motorised bikes available but
on foot it's a nice place to walk around as well.

Massage and spa facilities are available "in house". Massage outside in the
open huts is divine, inside massage areas are well appointed as well.

The Staff are lovely and will do all they can to help you. It's not 5 star
so they are not hanging around the bedroom door (that's a good thing) but
they are never too far away. It is a 5 star view! PLUS!

The owner Peter (Pedro) also is hands on and can provide assistance and
transport and transfers. His transfer fees are cheaper than taxis.

In general, it takes about 40 minutes from the airport, except in peak hours
9am or 5pm where it's who knows (or cares)

All in all, this place is a delight! A great place to recharge the batteries
for a few days or longer. It is, by its location, which is almost in the
country, a quiet place. It's not Pattaya (thank God) so it is not surrounded
by pumping nightclubs, bars and girls or persons of dubious endowment. What
you get is what you bring. What they give here is a lovely place to stay and
enjoy. Come soon to enjoy this rare gem.....you won't be disappointed!

  •   Visited in mid January with my wife. We were picked at the Airport by the Hotel. There is a charge of 700 Baht for one way and this has to be paid to the hotel. It took us approximately 45 minutes to reach the resort from the Airport. We had to enter through a door which was on the side of the main reception area. We were warmly welcomed by a girl whose name was Yu. She was very pleasant and showed us to our chalet no 11. We had a nice view of the rice fields at the boundary of the resort and the distant mountains. The area was very clam and you can only hear the chirping of the birds. The chalet was quite comfortable and spacious. Bed was super comfy. Only down side was that the water from the shower had a sulfur smell and you can’t get the water heated to the temperature you need. Since the morning and evening a quite chilly this is a disadvantage.
There were few other couples and singles occupying few other chalets. Everyone was very friendly and quite comfortable being fully nude though it is not mandatory. The resort was ideal for a quiet restful holiday. It has a small pool, darts, badminton and a gym. Towards the evening the weather becomes very cool. Best time of the day was after the sun has set. Whole place looks like it is out of heaven. Lighting was very dim and it was so quiet and peaceful. Resort has a small restaurant which serves continental or local food. Prices were quite reasonable and and the food was tasty. You can order liquor if you wish.
All over the resort grounds there are huts where you can relax in nude.
However if you are interested in visiting places of interest you have to hire a vehicle but rates are quite high. Resort will organize the vehicles for you. If you want to change your currency suggest that it is done in the city as the rate is much low at the resort.
For those who want to get away from their busy and hectic life we highly recommend this place. We really enjoyed our stay there.

  •   Thoroughly enjoyed my first stay here.

Naturism is new to me and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Arrived via transport arranged by the resort as I’m sure I would have lost my way (Google Maps wasn’t very accurate about the directions once it’s near the resort - Apple Maps is better).

It was dinner time when I arrived and the staff checked us in with a warm hospitality.

IMHO - this is the perfect place to chill and do nothing. I was actually planning to visit nearby attractions, or head into town but ended up staying in for the entirety of my 4D3N here. The furthest I went was just short walks around the countryside where I stumbled upon a temple

I’m amazed by how I can just spend the whole day doing nothing but chill - work out at the gym area (basic, old but functional equipment), laze by the pool (too small for long laps, but good enough with a jacuzzi), read under the huts in the garden, take pictures of, and with the beautiful garden and mountain and field in the background.

This place has a variety of activities - from dart boards, to badminton, ping pong, pool table, petang, etc

The wifi was generally strong and I didn’t need to use my tourist SIM card at all.

    And the best part -

No judgements or expectations. More than anything else, this was really a place that helped me to relax.

Nudity isn’t always mandatory. Some guests chose to be clothed at times, and go naked at other times. So it’s all up to you. I didn’t feel any pressures when I was there, and felt perfectly comfortable walking around nude or not.

And it helped also that there were vegetarian options on the menu. We ended up having all our meals in the restaurant at the resort. The menu included both Thai and western options. Prices for mains range between 100 baht and 400, while drinks start from 20 baht for 600ml of mineral water to 150 for a glass of wine.

Shower wasn’t perfect in our cottage (no. 11), but we learnt how to get the water hot enough by not turning the water on full blast.
